WHAT TO EXPECT

The Experience

Effortless, Raw, and Timeless Photos for Couples.

Capturing couples and weddings feels like a story being told. Each session has a beginning, middle, and end. And my job is to observe/capture those special fleeting moments that give each story character. I do this utilizing a number of different cameras, both digital and film.

The Offerings

  • I offer three different wedding packages that vary in time, pricing, and deliverables. Pricing starts at $3,850.

Once you decide which package best suits your needs, we can customize that package further—for example, adding a custom-designed wedding album or an hour to your wedding coverage. After you send in an inquiry, I will send you a pricing guide to learn more about the packages offered.

  • Let's go somewhere meaningful and take photos unique to you; for example, if you have a hike you love to do together or a favorite coffee shop. You may love going to the beach as a couple. The point is that you can make this session meaningful and memorable by incorporating parts of your relationship. Then when you see and share the photos, they will look and feel like YOU.

The Formats

  • The majority of the photos I take are digital. My primary camera is a Canon 5D Mark IV. And I utilize a variety of lenses throughout a session. For example, when I shoot weddings, I have two cameras holstered to my waist, so I have quick access to two options for focal length. Digital is such a fantastic format for weddings, and it's helpful to edit and make minor tweaks (when needed) to the photos afterward.

  • Film is such a unique medium. Unlike digital, you can only see the photo once you develop the film. You have to know your settings are correct, which requires having a certain level of skill in photography. I have found that shooting film allows me to slow down and be more intentional with each exposure. I shoot with various film cameras, two 35 mm and one medium-format film camera. Adding film to your wedding day means unique images that are intentional, artistic, and timeless.

Your wedding day is about so much more than photos.

My goal is to help facilitate a photo experience that feels effortless and natural, so you can focus on what the day is all about, your love for each other, and celebrating that love with your family and friends.

Meanwhile, I’ll focus on capturing your day, the big and the small moments, especially the in-between.

MY PROCESS

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I'm currently based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. But I grew up near Sacramento, California and I still travel there often.

  • I travel quite often for weddings and engagement sessions! I've traveled all over the US and overseas to shoot weddings and would be honored to travel to you or for your destination wedding.

  • Clients who are honest, kind, and have clear expectations but understand the value of hiring professionals and trust their vendors to do what we do best.

  • Unfortunately, I do not offer RAW, unedited photos from any of my sessions. How I shoot and edit my work represents my brand.

  • I do not edit bodies to be thinner or look different. You are beautiful the way you are! That being said, I'm happy to go in and retouch a spot of acne.

  • For weddings, the number of images delivered varies on the package and time spent photographing your wedding. The lowest package includes 400 photos, and the highest package contains 900. For engagement photos you will receive at least 100 images; the number of photos delivered varies on the package you book.

  • Most engagement sessions take three-four weeks from the session date. And weddings will take eight-twelve weeks from the wedding date. I spend a generous amount of time working on each session because I want the editing to be careful and intentional. However, I will try to get you sneak peeks 72 hours after your wedding.

  • I deliver my galleries through an online photo gallery called pic-time. It's very user-friendly, and you can download, share and even order prints through the gallery.
